On Thursday evening, I attended a pop-up art exhibition at the Flannels store in the exclusive shopping area of Spinningfields, Manchester. The event was curated by Richard Creme, in association with The Stroke Association, who received a percentage on the takings. Art work and sculptures came courtesy of the Alan Cristea Gallery in London, featuring works by Julian Opie, Michael Craig Martin and Richard Creme himself.
I attended the event with friends from work, enjoying a relaxed evening browsing the art works and sipping champagne. My favourite pieces were the sculptures, especially the creation photographed above, constructed from countless beech nuts intricately fused together.
