One of the most obvious things that you are going to see a lot of in Berlin is graffiti. And I don't mean gang tags on railway bridges (although you do see that) - I mean awesomely striking wall art, by actual artists, in bold bright colours.
One of my favourite places for admiring graffiti, having a drink and generally hanging out is the old train yards in Friedrichshain.
